I have been using my Garmin Vivoactive 3 Music for about 3 months now. I noticed about 2 weeks ago it was not longer syncing to my phone (Samsung Galaxy S8). I followed the troubleshooting and reset the phone and the watch. Tried to pair / sync again unsuccessfully. I then deleted Garmin Connect app on the Phone and reinstalled and soft reset
Try to remove the configuration (leave empty), so that you will see the light mode numbers on the buttons. Flare ion 200 should have the following numbers: 0,1,2,5,63,62 and Flare RT: 0,1,5,7,8,63. If the numbers do not match, try to do a factory reset on the light that has different numbers.

After updating to 5.40 i did reset to factory settings (Press to turn on with Logo -> Release then press and hold (quickly!) Release when it vibrates 2 times, wait for 3rd vibration then press and hold until the 4th vibration) and my battery life even improved a little bit compared to 5.20.
